Email Archival is the process of preserving your emails in external archives, where they are searchable and retrievable whenever needed. Email archives are stored separately from your primary inbox, thus optimizing your mailbox space.

It will also store the emails in the archive such that you can access the emails by searching on key terms, without any latency. How is an email archive different from an email backup?

Email archiving was actually conceptualized to fill out the gaps in email backups. 1. An email backup is a 'screenshot' of all the emails that were in the mailbox when the backup was taken. An email archive is much more current and can be configured to archive inbound emails automatically. 2. An email backup is also non-incremental, meaning you will need to delete and replace today's backup when you take one tomorrow. 3.
